Lohan Gets Axed by Manson Girls Producers

Production on "The Manson Girls" is scheduled to start in early July but Lindsay Lohan won't be a part of it. Rumor has it she's been axed by producers because they couldn't find any name actresses who wanted to co-star with her. Lindsay was to play the part of Nancy Pitman who was a member of the murderous Charlie Manson family cult which terrorized L.A. in the late Sixties.

]]> According to reports, people associated with the movie quietly indicated that Hohan's name and bad reputation was more of a liability than an asset to the film so they decided to dump her.

Lindsay has been in the headlines for being a tabloid star more than a movie star. Her last big screen outing, 'I Know Who Killed Me' was a box office flop, and she was publicly criticized by bosses on the film 'Georgia Rule' for her unprofessional work ethics during filming.

Hohan does continue to get work: she landed a guest role on "Ugly Betty" and will star next in "Labor Pains" a comedy about a young woman who pretends to be pregnant to avoid being fired.

The British actress, 38, won't reveal the father's identity, but hinted he's English and "sort of in the same business ... he's really busy, like me."

]]> But it's not the guy named Craig, she says. "Craig's not the dad!" she told U.K.'s Independent newspaper. "He's my great friend, and he's been so cool about it."

She says the pregnancy was unplanned and she wants to "shield the baby's dad as much as I can because it wasn't his choice to get roped into all this stuff."

His name will "come out in time and there'll be some other bump people will be interested in, and I'll have this baby and get on with my life."

She said she is uncertain if she'll have her baby in the States. or back home in England.

"A big part of me wants my child to be English. My family are here [in England], and I'm sure I'll move back here one day. It's just that my work, and the opportunities I've had, have been so varied and wonderful in the States that I've just followed my nose really."

George Clooney Stung By 'Leatherheads' Flop

George Clooney is shocked - SHOCKED! - and hurt by the failure of 'Leatherheads'. The football movie - which was ridiculously released at the start of baseball season - grossed only $36 million which is $22 million short of its $58 million budget.

Clooney tells Rolling Stone, "It bombed and when I say bombed - it bombed. Someone said, 'How does that feel?' and it stings a little bit."

But he refuses to be beaten, insisting, "The trick is how you handle things when things don't go great. Jason Castro And His Dreadlocks are Done

Last night's elimination felled another "American Idol" wannabe - or didn't wannabe - Jason Castro who mumbled the words to Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man" on ~~purpose~~ Tuesday's show and got the boot. Castro's rendition of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" was earlier deemed "utterly atrocious" by Simon Cowell, who told the dreadlocked singer, "Pack your bags."

]]> Castro admitted he "screwed it up" this week. "My inexperience is coming in," he shrugged - more relieved than disappointed. Did he even care?

The 21-year-old had a hard time learning two songs in a week, three for the final was going to be too tough of a challenge. The guy was mellow andlikeable but he was too laid back to show interest in winning the contest.

So while Jason couldn't be happier to be heading home, his elimination gets AI to the final three: Syesha Mercado, David Archuleta and David Cook.

Don't ask Lindsay's dad Michael Lohan his opinion of his ex-wife Dina being honored as a "Top Mom". He calls the award a joke.

"Are you kidding? Top celebrity mom?" he said. "Look at her off-screen antics, her lack of morals and how she conducts herself. I guess they forgot to mention how this top super-mom leaves her kids alone at night and even parties in their presence. Just wait until we go back to court. She comes stumbling out of Butter at 3:15 a.m. with bloodshot eyes and a red runny nose, yelling 'Oh, f**k,' when she saw the paparazzi."

]]> Michael took the public occasion to blast Dina for missing a court-ordered family therapy session so she could pick up a mother of the year award from Minglingmoms.com at a ceremony on Long Island instead. He claims her decision to skip the meeting on Tuesday amounted to contempt of court.

It didn't take Dina long to hit back - publicly. (Don't these people ever fight privately on the phone?) She calls her ex-husband "infantile" for blasting her decision to skip a court-ordered family therapy session - so she could pick up her mother of the year award.

She says, "He's a loose cannon. He's jealous that I got the award. He even called the organizers and tried to talk them out of giving it to me. He called the owner of the restaurant hosting the event and then called the press himself to say I wasn't going.

"He's using the media to talk to me. I'm getting nervous. Lindsay came to town two weeks ago and wanted security guys there in case he showed up. His parole officer needs to see what he's doing and realize that he cannot address me directly or indirectly. He wears a tracking device and they'll know if he comes anywhere near me. Lindsay Steals Some Chick's Fur Coat

A 22-year-old Columbia University college student claims Lindsay Lohan stole her $11,000 mink coat in January. Masha Markova thought she lost the blonde coat, a gift from her grandmother, while attending a party at 1 Oak in New York City. Two weeks later she spotted Hohan wearing an identical garment in the pages of OK! magazine in paparazzi photographs that were taken the same night the coat went missing.

]]> Markova insisted, "It was my coat. It was no doubt." She remembers sitting next to HoHan with her mink coat between them. "I don't see how it could have been an accident."

She called her lawyer to threaten to legal action the actress. Soon after she was contacted by bosses at 1 Oak, who then returned the coat - without explanation - smelling of alcohol and cigarette smoke and with a tear in the lining. "They were very discreet, never mentioned a name or even the word 'coat.' They just said, 'We're going to bring you something.'"

Although she cannot prove Hohan is responsible for 'borrowing' the coat, Markova is demanding the mean girl pay her $10,000 (GBP5,000) as a fee for the unauthorized 3-week rental.

Lohan's spokesperson has yet to respond to the New York Post's report.

Ashton Kutcher Gives Up On Punking Co-Stars

Ashton Kutcher says he's given up punking his co-stars. The 'That 70s Show' star, who produced and starred in 'Punk'd', playing gags on Hollywood stars such as Justin Timberlake and Frankie Muniz.

Downey just rocks as Tony Stark and casting him was a brilliant idea.

Downey says he was blown away by the idea of being Iron Man and wearing the cool suit: "I remember seeing the Mark I suit for the first time. (Costumer) Stan Winston's guys came over and gave me this helmet. I thought, this is so badass. I put it on and I'm all buffed."

Peaches Geldof, the wildchild daughter of British musician Sir Bob Geldof, could be in legal trouble after cops in London obtained video of her allegedly buying cocaine from Amy Winehouse's drug dealers.

The cops are planning to "question" Peaches, 19, after seeing footage of her buying $4500 worth of coke and putting in a future order: "I'm going to need Valium tomorrow after this".

]]> How did cops find out? It was on the same video in which Winehouse was seen allegedly smoking crack at a party in January. The footage allegedly shows Peaches handing over money to a man and a woman as part of a suspected drug deal.

If it is found that Peaches did indeed purchase illegal drugs, it means absolutely nothing since she's the daughter of a rock god/activist and cops in London don't like to get tough with celebrities or their precocious offspring until AT LEAST their 10th or 12th arrest (see: Pete Doherty).

Peaches' mom, British TV host Paula Yates, died of a heroin overdose eight years ago.
