More HOT Water For Harry

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 3:02 PM |

Prince Harry has had to apologize for wearing a swastika armband to a friend's costume party recently.

Clarence House issued a statement in response to a photograph published on the front page of the Sun newspaper under the headline, "Harry the Nazi".

The statement said: "Prince Harry has apologised for any offence or embarrassment he has caused. He realises it was a poor choice of costume." But there have been calls for the prince to make his own public apology.

The picture was taken at the weekend at a friend's birthday party in Wiltshire, which had the fancy dress theme "colonial and native." The Sun reported that Prince William was also at the party - dressed as a lion.

Socialite skanks, Wacko Jacko sleep-overs, and no-talent Simpson sisters getting you down lately? Here's a list of New Year's resolutions for the 25 worst offending celebrities.

A SAMPLE:
TARA REID: "I will never accidentally pose nude again."
DONALD TRUMP: "I will fire myself."
MICHAEL JACKSON: "I will play with friends my own age."
PARIS HILTON: "I will stop making 'socialite' the equivalent of 'skank.'"

Phil Spector: "I Think I Killed Somebody"

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 3:44 AM |

Famed music producer Phil Spector at first told police he accidentally shot B-movie actress Lana Clarkson to death at his home in February 2003, contrary to his later claim that she committed suicide, newly released transcripts of grand jury testimony show.

Phil Spector

According to the Grand Jury testimony released yesterday, it was revealed that Beatrice Rodriguez, a police officer dispatched to Spector's mansion in a Los Angeles suburb, said that when she arrived, the 64-year-old music producer said, ".... I didn't mean to shoot her. It was an accident."

Spector's driver, Adriano De Souza, told the grand jury that about three minutes after he heard a shot inside the house and called police, Spector came out holding a gun and told him, "I think I killed somebody."

Fake Engagement Ring works fine as Dork Repellent

Posted by at 3:44 AM | | Comments (0)

"We've tried dirty looks, haughty sighs and angry tirades to get rid of these predators - but nothing works like the magic ring."

This isn't a new trend. Women have been doing this for decades : buying their own $10 fake diamond engagement ring - as a verbal sign to undesirable males that they are already spoken for. Nothing says "Boo!" to a guy than a girl on the (apparent) fast-track to the altar.

, The New York Post recently reported that these faux rocks are the accessories of the season for fashionable ladies who just want to be left alone. "They drop $10 on a gaudy stone, apply to left ring finger and watch as one-time pursuers fade into the background." the post said.

One woman told the Post that she no longer has any trouble walking past leering/howling construction workers. When the guys stop shoveling dirt and start shoveling lines, she just flashes her ring and the curtain falls.

Of course, this raises the question: Why don't these women wear wedding bands? But I guess if you're going for the fake-out, you might as well do it with the style that only a diamond can bring.

Why Movie Tickets Cost So Much

The Hollywood Reporter is out with its "Highest-paid actress list" and Julia Roberts still holds the top spot - for awhile longer.

, While she may command $20 million per picture, along with runner-up Cameron Diaz, Roberts may slide next year when she takes time off from her career to play mom to her, um, awkwardly named twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus.

Roberts will next appear this month in "Closer" with Jude Law and "Ocean's Twelve" with George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Oddly enough, Diaz makes the list despite not appearing on screen in 2004, although her voice was used for "Shrek 2."

Nicole Kidman came third on the list with Reese Witherspoon and Drew Barrymore just behind her.
