Bad Behavior by David Hasselhoff and Other Celebrities

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 8:37 PM | | Comments (0)

David HasselhoffFormer "Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff made a very bad impression on another diver in Hawaii who wrote about his encounter with the actor:

"Still living his Baywatch days, David doesn't seem to realize that he is the brunt of many jokes here in the islands. The guy is a fish out of water and obviously has never felt the need to give back to the aqueous bounty that has made his ego."

"While snorkeling I was appalled to see him stumbling over the coral the whole time like a giant underwater King Kong, decimating entire mini-ecosytems with the seizure-like movements in his lower extremities. Later, I heard him complaining loudly that he saw only one fish, despite the fact that experts have identified over 350 different species at the location." (Perhaps he smashed them all and only happened to noticed the one that got away.)

"He did this in front of the next group of divers. This is now fucking with the livlihood of the dive guide. I also watched him trying to get out of paying for the $10 wetsuit rentals... and he did not tip any of the crew. LAME-O."

Easy Rider Ewan McGregor Ready To Hit The Road Again

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 7:01 PM | | Comments (0)

Ewan Mcgregor picWhen last we left our hero, Ewan McGregor was a petulant Jedi knight slicing and dicing with a light saber. The great Scot is currently in London where he is appearing in a stage play, and has revealed that he is busy planning his next mad motorcycle adventure. This one, he hopes, will take him from London to Cape Town, South Africa.

Ewan and fellow actor Charley Boorman teamed up to trek around the world last year. They followed the lay of the land from Europe across Russia -- with just a short water hop over the Bering Strait -- to Alaska, Canada and the continental US. During the trip, they filmed a documentary called "Long Way Round." (The DVD isn't available yet but the book is.) On their adventure, they relate they were chased by paparazzi in Kazakhstan, threated by gun men in the Ukraine, and offered bulls' testicles for supper by Mongolian nomads.

Ewan says he's rested and ready to head off again on the Africa adventure.
, He says, "It's the logical next step. 'Long Way Down,' we'd call it, and we'd get to see all of Africa."

And that's not the only bike trip Ewan is planning. He wants to tour Britain on his favorite vintage motorcycle, a BSA Lightning, and then he hopes to return to the outer limits of Mongolia for a solo camping trip.

He adds, "There's something terribly comforting about visiting remote places and being so far away from home. There's something so beautiful about being alone, having no responsibility, but there's also nothing like coming back to work and to a family I love."

Half-naked Teen Wants Sex. Goes on Rampage.

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 8:35 PM | | Comments (0)

Over the weekend, a 17-year-old high school boy was arrested for attempted murder and reckless driving. Throughout a terrifying car chase that reached incredible speeds, the teen forced motorists off the road, rammed police cars, and at one point cops shot out the back window of his car. And all he wanted was to get laid.

It all began when police spotted a car parked on the grass in a park and surprised the teen and his 14-year-old girlfriend in a compromising position.

The horny couple drove off quickly only to be noticed a short while later as they resumed necking in the car now parked in a dark, secluded part of the town. When the teen noticed a police car approaching, he sped off again. He ran red lights and drove on the wrong side of the road -- and the pursuit was on., Not even when police shot out the back window of the car, did he stop. Things got hairy when one of his tires blew, but he continued to shoot the gap and drive at speeds up to 150 kph (93 mph) around the town.

Finally, cops managed to force him off the road as the damaged vehicle (his mother's car) eventually stalled as he tried again and again to ram police cars during the wild 35-minute chase. Shortly thereafter, many drivers who had been forced off the road arrived and started assaulting him. Police said the larkhead was drunk and wearing only a shirt when he was arrested.

Imagine what he'll tell his friends later .. "Dudes, I was thisclose to getting laid..."

Justin Berfield: A Real Crack Up during Celebrity Race

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 8:15 PM | | Comments (27)

Justin BerfieldFox's hit show "Malcolm in the Middle" was recently picked up for a 7th, and probably last, season, which gives us one more year to soak up noteworthy babe Justin Berfield (yes, deviant brother Reese) who is the MVP of the "Malcolm" cast in my book.

Justin was behind the wheel of a race car this weekend, as he and TV bro Frankie Muniz competed in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race on Saturday, April 9. The celebrity race is part of the Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend. Frankie was the surprise winner of the race, while Justin crashed.

Justin's been learning how to drive race cars at a Willow Springs driving school this past month. "The first day I did okay," Berfield said. "I've only driven a stick for two days. I feel a little better. I guess I did pretty good in driving school. I was ALMOST passing people."

, At the finish line, Muniz thought he was going to finish in third place while driving the last lap. Then "General Hospital" actor Ingo Rademacher and Olympic swimmer Aaron Piersol collided in a turn and slowed, allowing Muniz to drive right by and win the celebrity race. In the overall standings, he finish third behind pro drivers Rhys Millen and second-place Ryan Arciero.

"This is probably one of the top things I've done," said Muniz. "Racing is all I've ever wanted to do. It's something I would like to get into on a more serious note."

Showing that there's just a touch of "Reese" in him, wreck-prone Justin, who totaled a Toyota Celica GT-S during practice Friday and crashed another during qualifying, went into the tires in Saturday's race and did not finish.

"I never knew what to expect," Berfield said of driving with other cars on the street course for the first time. "I'm still learning everything. I didn't know how intense it is." As for nerves, Berfield said, he gets them every time he gets behind the wheel.

The Bugatti Veyron for $1 million

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 3:26 PM | | Comments (0)

With an price tag of over $1 million dollars, the Bugatti Veyron is a car for the Donald Trump class of car buyers who feel a need for speed in a 1001-hp supercar. Speed? Try 0-to-188 mph time in 14 seconds -- roughly the take off rate of a fighter jet. Top speed of 250 mph is achieved by a seven-speed, double-clutch, Formula 1-style gearbox (paddles replace a traditional clutch-and-stick shift). The Bugatti has a W-shaped, 16-cylinder engine, which is essentially made by merging two W-8 Passat engines. (Bugatti is a VW company now.) More

Presto Chango - A car that folds up for parking

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 3:08 PM | | Comments (1)

presto car
It's a car . . . It's an accordian . . . It's a car AND an accordian.

Rinspeed Presto is a concept car that could solve your parking problems. At the switch of a button, the car can be shortened from a four passenger mode to a two passenger mode for parking in those ultra tight spaces.

The morphing/accordion thingy operation is done by an electric motor, which crunches up your car in seconds. In stretch mode, the additional space can also be used as a pick-up bed for cargo when the rear-seat backrests are folded down. The Presto is powered by a four-cylinder, 1.7-litre "common-rail" turbo diesel engine. What will they think of next? Read more on the Presto.

Lara Flynn Boyle "starkers" on British Airways Flight

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 4:15 PM | | Comments (0)

Lara Flynn Boyle
This is why they pay more for First Class . . .

Some passengers on a recent British Airways flight are claiming that "Men in Black 2" star Lara Flynn Boyle took off all her clothes. The acress -- bored, popping pills, and with nothing else to do during the 10-hour transatlantic flight from L.A. to London -- reportedly stripped off her clothes and tried to climb into the bed of a sleeping stranger.

, A British Airways spokeswoman only confirmed that, "First-class passengers on board Flight BA 282 from Los Angeles to Heathrow reported that a female passenger in the cabin was behaving strangely."

A witness said, "People recognized she was Lara Flynn Boyle and saw her popping pills on board early in the flight."

"She was starkers," the witness claimed. (Obviously a Brit)

"She woke a passenger up, tried to get into bed with him, pulled open the blind and said, 'We're landing, get your clothes on,' even though we were more than four hours away from London."

New Jeep's Got a Hemi, and More

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 11:55 PM |

Yep, it's got a Hemi -- two of 'em if you're asking.

Behold the DaimlerChrysler new Jeep Hurricane: a brawny off-roader powered by two of the automaker's famous V-8 engines.

And look at that picture!! The 'cane is able to turn complete circles in the same spot! This beats my old Jeep Wrangler all to hell.

It's still just a concept, of course, but you can read Detroit News for the scope.
