Beyonce on Top of Forbes’ Top-Earning Young Musicians List

Young musicians have been bred to understand that financial success in today's music industry means building a brand that transcends song and stage. And the young star who best illustrates this is Beyonce, the 27-year-old who earns the top spot on Forbes' list of the Top-Earning Young Musicians in the last year. She was raised to sing and dance, but she earned $87 million with talents that go beyond her voice.

Susan Boyle's Album Will Surprise Everyone, Says Simon Cowell

The producer of Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle’s new album, Simon Cowell, told the media that it will be a real surprise, nothing of what people expect.

"We're not going to throw out some souvenir album of show tunes which everyone expect[s]," Cowell, who judged the Scottish singing sensation on the reality series, said. "We went through about 350 to 400 songs to choose from. She was blown away by some of the song choices... She's going to surprise a lot of people with this record."

Regina Spektor’s New Album Goes “Far”

Piano singer Regina Spektor released her third full-length studio album, Far, this week, and it's a welcome summer sound that doesn't disappoint. Regina is best known from her prevalence of songs on TV shows including Grey's Anatomy and Weeds, and their use in several commercials. In 2006 and 2007, her biggest single to date, Fidelity, was everywhere on television and radio.

Entertainer Michael Jackson has died after being taken to a hospital on Thursday, June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest.

Pop icon Michael Jackson, 50, who died Thursday afternoon after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital in cardiac arrest, had a long history of confirmed health problems, in addition to rumored conditions.

Barbra Streisand Returns with New Jazz Studio Album This Fall

A legend will return this fall. It has been four years since Barbra Streisand's last studio album, Guilty Pleasures. And now she has joined forces with Canadian jazz singer-pianist Diana Krall on her new album, Love Is the Answer. The album is set for release on September 29, her record label said on Monday.

Whitney Houston to Release Her Comeback Album in September

Pop diva Whitney Houston hasn’t released an album in seven years but her new one, rumoured to be titled Undefeated, will finally drop this fall, her record label announced Thursday.

Since her career kicked off in 1985 with her self-titled debut, Houston, 45, has sold more than 170 million records, singles and videos around the world. She is one of music's most decorated female artists, with more than 400 awards.

The video-leak bug has apparently hit dance princess Lady Gaga, this time infecting the new clip for her latest single, Paparazzi. The nearly eight-minute mini-movie, featuring a murderous plotline that revolves around a doomed starlet, was leaked online this Thursday, apparently before the fashion-forward diva was ready for it to debut.

Labeling her as “overrated,” singer Lily Allen has been attacking Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle after a victorious performance on last weekend’s show. The 48-year-old Scottish singer landed in the final round of the show after beating out seven other performers by singing Memory from the musical Cats. But The Fear singer was not very impressed with Susan’s performance.

Carrie Underwood Is Returning to American Idol

Former American Idol winner and country star Carrie Underwood will come back home for a second time this season on Tuesday, when she performs as part of the show's two-night finale.

According to MTV News, the four-time Grammy winner, 26, will sing this year's farewell song, a cover of Motley Crue's 1985 metal ballad Home Sweet Home, her spokesperson confirmed.
