Chris Brown Wins at AMA but Says It Shoulda Been Coldplay

chris brownChris Brown was the big winner at the American Music Awards last night, but unlike Kanye West, he was surprised and humbled by the honor. "I don't know what to say. I would have given it to Coldplay," said Brown, 19, who was also named Artist of the year, male Pop/Rock Artist and Male Soul/R&B Artist.

His girl Rihanna got two awards for pop/rock female artist and female soul R&B artist, while Alicia Keys captured two awards for her 'As I Am' album, winning for both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories.

"They met on the set of his (Jonas Brothers‘ 'Lovebug’) music video,” a source tells to People magazine. “All the guys always had thought she was really pretty, and that’s why they asked her to be in it.”

Suge Knight Sues Kanye West Over Shootout. Loss of Beloved Earring.

suge knightFormer Death Row Records founder Suge Knight, 43, is suing Kanye West over that incident at the Miami nightclub three years ago in which Suge accidentally shot himself in the leg was shot and also robbed of a $135,000 diamond stud earring in the ensuing scuffle.

Suge says it's Kanye's fault because his security allowed "someone" to smuggle in a strap at West's pre-VMA party at The Shore Club. Said unknown person used said smuggled gun to then shoot Suge in the thigh, shattering a bone.

Mos Def Wanted Most Definitely by Vegas PD in Pap Attack

mos defMos Def is wanted by the Las Vegas Police Department for "felony robbery and malicious destruction of private property" after the rapper and actor allegedly attacked a paparazzo at a fashion event back in August.

Def, whose real name is Dante Terrell Smith, was attending the Men’s Apparel and Garment Industry Convention (MAGIC) event, when he crossed paths with photographer Volker Corell. The snapper says he didn't know who the hip hopper was and didn't know why Def snatched his camera and whipped it to the ground.

More Problems For Janet: LL Cool J. Drops Off the Tour

Janet JacksonPop star Janet Jackson has had a tough time trying to keep her "Rock Witchu" tour going this fall what with health problems and all, and now she's had the bad news that her opening act, LL Cool J., is dropping out on her.

The rapper's publicity firm said Monday that that the reason was due to unnamed scheduling conflicts.

beyonceR&B singer Beyonce Knowles has a cool distinctive name, but she's not happy with it. She's just christened herself "Sasha Fierce" for her new double album, "I Am ... Sasha Fierce," due to drop in stores on November 18.

Why the change? The former Destiny's Child singer says: "Sasha Fierce is the fun, more sensual, more aggressive, more outspoken side and more glamorous side that comes out when I'm working and when I'm on the stage."

The couple split earlier this year after just two years as a wedded couple. Pink now admits she had doubts right from the start - even though she was the one who proposed. She says, "To be honest ... I knew there was a little part of both of us that couldn't handle being married."

madonna and guy ritchieMadonna seems to have gone into complete meltdown now that she and hubby Guy Ritchie have stopped faking about their marriage that apparently went bad a few years ago. She took to mocking him on stage recently, referring to someone unnamed as being "emotionally retarded," even though it's obvious she's referring to her estranged husband.

Now that they've officially announced their split, Guy seems to be staying silent, doing the stiff upper lip English gentleman thing, while insiders are running to the tabloids to spill the beans on all the sordid details of the marriage.

Tim McGraw Wouldn't Buy His Greatest Hits Album Either

Tim McGrawCountry music superstar Tim McGraw apologized to his fans this week after his record label released a "greatest hits album." He says he has new music but it was the idiots at the label calling the shots and that the release of a "Greatest Hits 3" cd is an "embarrassment" to him.

"I am saddened and disappointed that my label chose to put out another hits album instead of new music," says McGraw. "I've only had one studio album since my last hits package. It has to be just as confusing to the fans as it is to me."
