Update on the Michael Jackson trainwreck . . .

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 4:28 PM | | Comments ( 1 )

There's a buzz around the courthouse at the Michael Jackson trial that the star recently failed a lie detector test.

Jackson reportedly took the tests a month ago and failed miserably. Not that it matters as far as his defense goes . . . since the tests aren't admissible as evidence in a California court. Score one for the wierd one who will likely deny he even took the tests.

Anyhoo, it sounds like the trial could begin as early as next Tuesday, in which case, Jackson will probably pull his best "Captain Crunch meets the Navy" outfit from the closet to wear and impress us all. If you ask me, his attorneys should plead insanity instead of Not Guilty, because Jackson doesn't appear to have a clue how serious this is.

As for the ridiculous list of character witnesses, like Kobe Bryant, don't believe it. It's just publicity. On the "Tonight Show" the other night, Jay Leno said he has no idea why HE'S listed as a possible defense witness. Leno joked on that his relationship with Jackson was perfectly innocent. He said that "all we did was cuddle" and "people have to make it something dirty."

Leno also promised that he won't rat out Jackson: "Us white folks, we stick together."

Michael Jackson on The Geraldo Rivera Show

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 4:06 PM | | Comments ( 3 )

Michael Jackson had a few things to say about celebrity during his interview with Geraldo Rivera on Fox's "At Large" program: "The bigger the star, the bigger the target. ... But truth always prevails."

Michael Jackson
He described the press coverage of his life was like looking at a fictitious movie. "Because it's fiction," he said. "It's like watching science fiction. It's not true."

He also lashed out at Eminem for mocking him in the "Just Lose It" video Referring to the rapper as "Mr. Eminem." (In the video, Eminem impersonates Jackson cavorting with children. His raps about inviting kids to sit on his lap - and his nose falls off.) "I've been an artist most of my life and I've never attacked a fellow artist," Jackson said. "Great artists don't do that. You don't have to do that."

But -- In the most telling revelation of the interview, Jackson made a statement at the end that he would not be scheduling any more sleepovers with little boys. "I never intend to place myself in so vulnerable position again," he said. Way to go, Jacko, now you get it.

Michael Jackson will be Knifed by Wife

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 5:25 PM | | Comments ( 0 )

Michael Jackson

Debbie Rowe, the ex-wife of Michael Jackson and mother of his two children has agreed to give evidence against the singer during his child molestation trial. Insiders are already predicting her testimony will "blow the lid" off Jackson's bizarre lifestyle. It is yet to be confirmed whether Jackson's first wife Lisa Marie Presley will also take the stand.

Mike Evans commented in his Hollywood Report that the screaming fans cheering for Jackson outside the Santa Maria courthouse are actually bused in from Santa Monica. Each day, two busloads of people are brought in - that's right, that street circus is actually being paid for by Jackson's camp to stage support for the singer for the TV cameras.

And there are subliminal messages from Jackson, sort of his own personal middle finger to the world: On Tuesday, he appeared in court wearing a dark suit with an Army badge bearing the the Queen of England's ER emblem.

The badge's motto is "Honi soit qui mal y pense" meaning "Shame on him who thinks this evil."

Jackson's Taped Interview Will Come Back to Haunt Him

Posted by Fara Kearnes at 2:51 PM |

Michael Jackson

Did Michael Jackson have any clue at all how bad his lifestyle looked when he sat, holding hands with a 13-year-old boy during his 2003 interview with the British journalist Martin Bashir? Now Bashir, who turned the controversial interview into a TV documentary that showed Jackson's wacky lifestyle, will be called to give testimony at the trial. It's has also been revealed that Bashir has hours of outtakes from the documentary, including potentially damaging footage of Jackson making statements when he did not know the camera was rolling.

Prosecutors insist Martin Bashir is a necessary material witness to support allegations the singer sexually abused teenage cancer sufferer Gavin Arvizo at his Neverland Ranch home in Santa Barbara, California.

Footage from Bashir's high-profile documentary - which aired in Britain and America in 2003 - shows Jackson embracing his alleged victim and admitting he often invites children to spend the night with him in bed.

, There are already some 1900 pages of testimony from the grand jury investigation. To review what they found: The grand jury returned an indictment in April 2003 charging Jackson, 46, with child molestation and a conspiracy count alleging child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion. The indictment also included four counts of lewd acts involving a minor child, one count involving an attempted lewd act upon a child and four counts of administering an intoxicating agent.

The alleged child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion are not individual charges but are alleged as the circumstances leading to the conspiracy count.
