According to the latest reports, the cause of Whitney Houston‘s death has been revealed. The singer, who was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills hotel room in February, reportedly died of accidental drowning caused by the effects of heart disease and cocaine use.
Sources connected to the investigation said that cocaine and traces of marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl were found in her system, but they were not the cause of her tragic death. It is believed that Whitney had a heart attack, which may have been a result of cocaine use, and this led to her loss of consciousness and ultimately drowning. However, a final report from the coroner will be released in two weeks.
Whitney was known for having a long-time history with alcohol and drug abuse and her family and friends believe she had a heart attack because her body just gave up.
