Russell Brand Filed for Divorce from Katy Perry

katy-perry_russell-brand.jpgSo, the inevitable has been produced: Russell Brand has reportedly filed for divorce from wife Katy Perry.

The Arthur actor, who tied the knot with the Firework hitmaker in India in October last year, has reportedly filed for divorce in Los Angeles today citing “irreconcilable differences”.

However, Russell insisted that he and Katy will remain friends. According to gossip website TMZ, the comedian said, “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

The 36-year-old actor and Katy had already sparkled speculation that their marriage was on the rocks after spending Christmas 7,000 miles apart from each other.
