T.i.ight Saga actress Nikki Reed is officially off the market! She and boyfriend Paul McDonald tied the knot over the last weekend, following a whirlwind romance.
The actress and the former American Idol contestant first met in March, then announced their engagement in June, and now they’ve exchanged vows in front of 100 guests at a private ranch in Malibu, California.
“We couldn’t be happier! [We were] surrounded by our family and friends. We’re so glad this day has come!” Nikki told Us Weekly magazine.
Paul’s friend and fellow American Idol contestant Stefano Langone had previously revealed he was due to perform at the nuptials after impressing Nikki with one of his songs. “I played Nikki a song of mine, and she said, ‘You need to play that at my wedding.’ She absolutely loved it and I’m really excited to play for them. I love them both,” he said.
Paul, 27, confessed he knew Nikki, 23, was ‘The One’ for him almost as soon as they started dating. “It’s kind of one of those things you don’t expect. Like, last year I never would have thought I’d be getting married,” he said. “She’s amazing. She’s the perfect girl. We fit each other; when you know, you know, and she’s the one.”
And Nikki has expressed the same feelings for him, saying she doesn’t care what people think of their whirlwind romance. “I’ve never met anyone like him. I’ve never met anyone who has such a good solid heart and comes from such a good solid family and is just a genuine person. We have the exact same sense of humor,” she said. “I’ve never laughed so much with anyone as I do with him.”
