Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick has recently confessed that, when it comes to girls, he is more of a shy guy and is nothing like the character he plays in the hit show.
The actor admitted that although he plays Upper Eastside’s confident, “aggressive” Chuck Bass, he actually gets really nervous when it comes to chatting up potential dates.
“I think Chuck would probably be a little bit more aggressive, shall we say? As we have seen in the show he goes after who he wants. I am a little bit more laid back and I actually get quite shy. So that would be the major difference rather than a similarity,” he said.
The British hunk also admitted he once pretended to be in the army to pick up a girl. “I told one girl I was in the army, I pulled the serviceman thing,” he said. “Before my Gossip Girl days. It didn’t work, I got thrown back. I should have had the uniform, it would have made things very different.”
