Former Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen — who has also starred in How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams — has recently declared she decided to quit acting.
The star revealed she has no intention to appear in any more films or TV shows because she wants to focus on her music career with Make Me Wanna Die rockers: The Pretty Reckless.
“I quit acting, actually,” she said. “I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.”
This spring it was announced that the blonde teenager won’t be reprising her role as Gossip Girl series regular Jenny Humphrey in the 5th season of the show, along with ex-costar Jessica Szohr. However, insiders say the two could make guest appearances in future episodes.
Earlier this year, Taylor revealed that music has always been the greatest passion in her life. “[Music] is all I ever wanted to do with my life. I wanted to make records and tour, so it’s very exciting that our first record is coming out and people can actually hear it,” she said.
