According to some new reports, Prince William has apparently asked his fiancée Kate Middleton to wear his mother’s wedding dress at their nuptials in April next year!
So, it seems Kate, who also received Princess Diana’s sapphire and diamond engagement ring, apparently was told to wear Diana’s wedding dress, too. Reports claim William even arranged to have the dress, the centerpiece of a touring exhibition of 150 items from Diana’s life, rushed back to London!
But according to American tabloid the National Enquirer, Kate didn’t enjoy the idea at all! She refused it and told her future husband a straight “NO! Absolutely not! I cannot wear your mother’s wedding dress. It’s one thing to be wearing her ring, but NOT her wedding dress! It’s going too far.”
The source also added that in the end William realized his mistake and told Kate that her wedding must be HER special day.
