Iron Man 2 sexy actress Scarlett Johansson has reportedly signed up to star as the lead character — a “ruthless alien seductress” — in new movie Under the Skin. The film will be an adaptation of the Michel Faber book and will be directed by Jonathan Glazer, with production set to begin in spring 2011.
The story is about an alien disguised as a beautiful woman who seduces and preys on humans on remote roads and abandoned areas. Later on she begins to change her thinking about human beings and starts a conflict with her own kind.
Glen Basner from FilmNation, who is launching the project, said Scarlett was the perfect choice to embody the alien temptress. “We’re so very excited to be working on this arrestingly original movie,” he said. “How could we pass up the chance to work with a visionary director like Jonathan, especially when combined with the intriguing notion of Scarlett Johansson as a ruthless alien seductress?”
