Actress Anne Hathaway — who stars alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in new movie Love and Other Drugs — confessed she wants to start her own rock band after she began learning to play the guitar.
“I’m thinking about starting a band, it would be cool,” she said. “I mean, I’m doing badly with the lessons but I’ve got a better guitar, so I sound better but I play just as badly. It’s acoustic. I shouldn’t say I’m at exactly the same level, I can play more chords now but I just can’t play them in any recognizable order, but, you know, I’m working on it. The band would only play one chord at a time in our songs — so we’d have a big hit.”
The actress also recently revealed she intends to take a break from romantic comedies. “I don’t want to focus on romance for a while,” she said. “I think I’ve exhausted that muscle. I want to fly a spaceship. And I want to shoot a laser into some intergalactic goop.”
