According to reports, actress Eva Longoria Parker is going to host the MTV European Music Awards. The Desperate Housewives star will fly to Madrid next month to attend the ceremony where she will handle proceedings as a selection of prizes are handed out to some of the world’s biggest music stars.
Eva is also keen to meet Katy Perry and Lady GaGa, who are both nominated for five awards which include Best Female, Best Pop and Best Song categories. “I’m beyond excited to host the 2010 EMAs,” Eva said. “And getting to do it in the beautiful city of Madrid is the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to see some fabulous performances and I absolutely love that the most nominated artists this year are two amazing women, who are making some of the most exciting music in pop right now!”
The 17th annual EMAs will take place at the Caja Magica in the Spanish city, and will be broadcast live on MTV channels across the globe.
