According to a new report, Courteney Cox’s marriage to David Arquette has come to an end. According to a statement they’ve released to People magazine, “the reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage.”
Insiders say that the couple — who have been married for 11 years and have one daughter, Coco Riley, together — have been separated for several months now.
However, a source close to the estranged couple insisted that Courteney and David remained “best friends” and maintain a business relationship with each other. “There’s a real possibility they could get back together. It’s a work in progress,” added the insider.
Cox has previously admitted that she and her husband have undergone couples therapy. “We’ve done couples therapy in the past. We’re not lazy about our marriage,” the former Friends star told InStyle magazine in July. “We have the same arguments we’ve had for years. Some things just never change, and you should realize that the intriguing things you fall in love with will probably become things you don’t like and the very things you’ll be talking about for the rest of your relationship.”
