17-year-old singer-and-actress Miley Cyrus wants to be charitable. That is why she’s giving her clothing and accessories on internet auction site eBay with proceeds going to charity Get Ur Good On.
“For me I get this amazing blessing and opportunity to do this every day and get up on stage and hopefully inspire people with my music,” Miley said. “And that’s something that’s really important to me, but so is getting involved in charities.”
The charity aims to connect young people with volunteering opportunities in their local communities, and Miley believes a good way to show charity begins at home. “You don’t have to travel 30 hours… you don’t have to give a billion dollars. It’s not about how much or how far, it’s about looking at your neighbors and seeing how you can help,” she said.
The auction is due to take place at the end of August.
