Update!! Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has been released from prison! A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department has confirmed that the Mean Girls star left the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, at around 1.35am this morning after serving just 13 days of a 90-day sentence.
The 24-year-old star was taken straight to the UCLA Medical Center to begin her court-ordered 90-day rehab stint. Lindsay had originally been due to enter Morningside Recovery rehab center in Newport Beach, California, but Judge Marsha Revel changed her treatment destination to UCLA amid concerns information about her treatment would be leaked to the public.
It has been claimed Lindsay will be isolated from her family during her stay in the rehab facility. This has been blasted as “stupid” by her estranged father Michael Lohan. “It is beyond a reasonable doubt stupid,” he said. “Part of Lindsay’s healing process is mending fences with her family.”
