It seems James McAvoy’s movie career is back on track as the Scottish actor has landed a starring role in the latest X-Men movie. The 30-year-old actor will play a young Professor Charles Xavier (a role made famous by ex-Star Trek actor Patrick Stewart) in prequel X-Men: First Class.
In the original trilogy, Stewart’s character was a bald-headed, wheelchair-bound mutant. So, it isn’t known if McAvoy, who starred alongside Angelina Jolie in the 2008 action flick Wanted, will be shaving off his hair for the part.
“First Class will chart the epic beginning of the X-Men saga,” said a spokesman for Hollywood studio Fox.
