Actress Sienna Miller, who’s currently dating British actor Jude Law, has topped the list of potential female leads to star in the Sherlock Holmes movie sequel. Her beau played Dr. Watson in the first adaptation of the famous fictional detective.
“Sienna is among the top names in a list of potential female leads,” a source said. “Guy [Ritchie, the director] knows her and loves her work but clearly her relationship with Jude will either be a big problem or a big audience attraction — depending on which way you look at it.”
Filming on Sherlock Holmes 2 is set to start later this year.
According to recent reports, Jude and Sienna, whose first engagement was called off in 2005 following revelations Jude had been having an affair with his children’s nanny, intend to marry if their recently rekindled romance works out.
