Bourne Identity star Matt Damon thinks he is only offered roles that Brad Pitt doesn’t want. Although he appeared alongside Brad and George Clooney in the Ocean’s series, he insists his success comes from “piggybacking” his costars and doesn’t even think that he is ever a first choice for directors.
“I think the roles go to Brad first. Which is fine,” the actor said. “Ask anybody on the street which actors starred in the Ocean’s movies, and they’ll tell you it was George and Brad. I’m ‘support’ in Ocean’s. As I was in Saving Private Ryan — Tom Hanks carried that movie.”
The Green Zone actor would also like to star in a comedy, but he thinks they are the hardest films to score successfully. “I’d love to end up in a movie like The Hangover, but I think it’s just really hard to make a good comedy,” he said.
