Mariah Carey does not acknowledge her birthday. Even if the singer turns 41 in March she insists about having anniversaries not birthdays.
“I don’t have birthdays, I have anniversaries,” Mariah told Fox News. “So that’s the really interesting thing because people ask me what is the secret for eternal youth, this guy asked me the other day. I said, ‘just pretend you’re 12.’”
Mariah recently revealed that even if she’s having a global success she’s confronting with a low self-esteem.
“I have had very low self-esteem my whole life,” she said in an interview last month.
“When I was 12 or 13, I remember walking up the driveway, and this guy who was 20 — which may have been highly inappropriate – said to me, ‘I like your pants,’ and I was like ‘Oh, that looks good? Oh, OK, I will wear tight pants now.”
