US clothing company Hanesbrand decided to end the contract with Charlie Sheen after he has been arrested for domestic aggression.
It’s a pretty standard, straightforward call when somebody who’s in your commercials is arrested on suspicion of something of this magnitude,” said a spokesman for the company.
“And we would suspend the ads both for the company and, really, for Mr. Sheen and his family as well. Given the publicity, it makes sense to not air those ads during that time.”
Even so, some prints adverts will continue to appear till spring.
“Unfortunately, the production schedule of those publications does not allow us to pull those ads,” the spokesman added.
Charlie Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day after threatening his wife, Brooke, with a knife.
