Sandra Bullock recently revealed that she had therapy to remove her lisp when she was younger, but after playing a less-than-perfect woman in a new movie, All About Steve, she regrets it.
“Our individual quirks are a part of us that we’re told to lose once we become an adult,” explains Bullock. “I had a lisp that I had to get rid of, and I had to have speech therapy. Now I just go, ‘Why? Why did I need to get rid of a lisp?’
“It’s that whole, ‘What is normal?’ thing. We’re very excited to embrace children like that, but we don’t trust adults who are like that.”
