Elton John – Adoption Problems

elton_14-09-09jpg.jpgWhile in Ukraine, Elton John changed his mind regarding adoption. He decided to adopt Lev, 14-month-old boy who stole the artist’s heart.

“I would love to adopt him. I don’t know how we do that but he has stolen my heart. And he has stolen David’s heart and it would be wonderful if we can have a home. I’ve changed my mind today.”
But it seems that the adoption would not be possible because of the Ukrainian law , which states that it is illegal for homosexual couples to adopt in the Ukraine.
Ukrainian legislation also states that there could not be more than a 45-year age gap between a child and the adoptive parents, and because Elton is 62, this could be another problem.
How determined will Sir Elton John be to adopt little Lev? We’ll see…
