Michael Jackson 's family has confirmed that the King of Pop will be laid to rest on what would have been his 51st birthday.
The burial will take place at Holly Terrace in the Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Saturday, August 29 at 10 AM.
The private ceremony will be limited to family and close friends to avoid the kind of media frenzy that the public memorial service at Staples Center, also in LA, generated.
The King of Pop will not be buried at Neverlend, the main reason being that Michael’s mother did not want her son to return to Neverland, saying that he wouldn’t have wanted that either, especially because of the memories related to the 2005 molestation trial and the ensuing scandal.
