Legendary performer Bob Dylan is going to release a Christmas album and, following the spirit of the holiday season, the star will donate his royalties to charity.
The album, Christmas in the Heart, will be released October 13, according to a statement by Columbia Records. Dylan's U.S. royalties will go to the organization Feeding America. It's estimated that it will help feed 1.4 million families during the holidays.
The 68-year-old singer hopes he can bring "food security" to people in need, saying it's a "tragedy" that there are people who go to bed hungry. Dylan also plans to donate all his future international royalties to charities overseas.
