The eldest Jonas brother, Kevin, 22, popped the question to his girlfriend of two years, Danielle Deleasa, 21. Both of them have confirmed the news and so have his parents, Paul Kevin Jonas, Sr. and Denise.
According to People, which was the first to report the news, Kevin surprised his girlfriend by showing up at her doorstep in New Jersey on Wednesday morning, July 1, soon after arriving in the city on an overnight flight from a concert in Vancouver. He dropped down to his knee and presented her with a cushion-cut diamond ring that he designed with Jacob & Co.
"It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world," admitted Kevin, adding that Danielle "said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row" after he popped the question.
Kevin first met Danielle, who is a former hairdresser, in May 2007 while they were vacationing in the Bahamas with their families. "I didn't know who the Jonas Brothers were," admits Danielle recalling the day she first met Kevin.
The two haven’t set a wedding date yet. In a statement, Kevin's parents said they were "filled with joy."
