So she thinks she can dance. The Katie Holmes much-speculated appearance on So You Think You Can Dance has been confirmed. Judge Nigel Lythgoe, who is also the producer of the show, announced that the 30-year-old actress will appear on stage for the reality contest's 100th episode, airing July 23.
Katie will perform in a Tyce Diorio-choreographed tribute to Judy Garland. In a taped number, she'll sing and dance to the Garland classic Get Happy.
Holmes' TV cameo is meant to promote the new foundation she launched with Lythgoe and Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba, which will provide scholarships for underprivileged dancers.
Tom Cruise’s wife is expected to donate her entire proceeds from the appearance to the foundation. "I think it's important for children to experience music and dance," Holmes said.
