Oscar-nominated actor Jude Law will become a father for the fourth time this fall, his representative said on Wednesday, but the mother's identity has not been revealed.
His publicist said that "following a relationship last year, the actor has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year," adding that "Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned, but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life. T.i. is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made."
The Daily Mirror newspaper reported that Law met the woman while filming Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes movie in New York last year.
The star, 36, has three children with ex-wife, British actress and designer Sadie Frost. They split in 2003 after six years of marriage.
Law and G.I. Joe star Sienna Miller called off their engagement in 2005 after Law admitted to having an affair with his children's nanny, Daisy Wright. They briefly reconciled but broke up for good in 2006. In 2008, Jude was linked to Rod Stewart's daughter, Kimberly Stewart, and 20-year-old model Lily Cole.
The actor, who is currently single, will next star in Sherlock Holmes, opening Dec. 25. He'll also appear in Hamlet on Broadway beginning this October.
