Actor Jim Carrey is set to become a grandfather for the first time. His rep confirmed that his only 21 year-old daughter, Jane Carrey, is expecting her first baby, and Jim couldn't be more thrilled about the news!
"I am very excited," he told Radar Online, which first reported the news. "Jane is going to be a great mom."
Jane Carrey is the lead singer of the alternative/rock/blues group called the Jane Carrey Band, and is engaged to fellow musician Alex Santana, aka “Nitro”, who has his own rock band, Blood Money. Reports say they are planning on tying the knot soon.
Jane is Jim's daughter from his marriage to his first wife Melissa Womer. The couple divorced in 1995 after being married for almost a decade.
The actor and his daughter are quite close. She has often been spotted with her father and his girlfriend, Jenny McCarthy, at autism fundraisers and events. The funnyman has been dating Jenny for more than four years. She has a son, Evan, 6, who battled autism.
