It seems that the magic in Hogwarts could not save Rupert Grint from catching the dreaded swine flu. The British actor, known for playing Harry's best friend, Ron Weasley, in the Harry Potter movies, is recovering from a mild case of the illness, which he contracted while filming the latest installment in the hit film franchise, the BBC reported.
Grint, 20, took a few days away from filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but has now been able to return to work and is expected to be well enough to attend the London premiere of Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince on Tuesday, his publicist confirmed.
The rep also said that Grint's doctor had confirmed that the actor had recovered and was no longer contagious or at risk of infecting others. 'Other scenes were shot in his absence which did not require his involvement and thus filming was not disrupted,' she added.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opens in U.S. theaters July 17.
