Forbes has issued its list of Hollywood's highest-paid actresses from the past financial year. And it seems that Brad Pitt’s women are on top. His current partner, Angelina Jolie, tops the list of highest earning actresses, having earned $27 million between June 2008 and June 2009, while his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, earned $25 million, following closely behind Jolie.
Most of Angie's income came from her share of the profits from her action film Wanted, but she was also paid a large upfront sum for her role in Salt, the study said. Aniston earned most of her millions from the romantic comedy Marley and Me and her upcoming film The Baster. She is also still earning money from reruns of the popular television show Friends, and received a hefty paycheck for becoming the spokeswoman for Glaceau's SmartWater.
Third place went to Meryl Streep, who made $24 million last year, most of which came from her role in Mamma Mia!. Sarah Jessica Parker came in at number four with $23 million. Her position on the list is largely due to the Sex and the City movie, which took in $415 million worldwide last year.
Completing the Top 10 are Cameron Diaz ($20 million), Sandra Bullock and Reese Witherspoon ($15 million each), Nicole Kidman and Drew Barrymore ($12 million each) and Renee Zellweger ($10 million).
