Piano singer Regina Spektor released her third full-length studio album, Far, this week, and it's a welcome summer sound that doesn't disappoint. Regina is best known from her prevalence of songs on TV shows including Grey's Anatomy and Weeds, and their use in several commercials. In 2006 and 2007, her biggest single to date, Fidelity, was everywhere on television and radio.
Working with three very different producers, the album's songs are distinctly different, but still come together for a rich complete experience. But what stands out universally on all of the songs is Regina's strongest instrument - her well-enunciating voice.
Lead single, Laughing With, is by no means the strongest track on the album. Standout tracks include lead album track, The Calculation as well as Dance Anthem Of The '80s.
