Most young actresses would think themselves lucky to be compared with superstar Angelina Jolie, but despite apparently styling herself on Angie, Megan Fox is irritated with the comparison and says she’s not the next anyone.
The Transformers star acknowledges the similarities between herself and the Changeling actress, but says she's not trying to be the “next” Angelina, dismissing the parallels as a product of a lack of media creativity.
"It's a lack of creativity on the media's part. Because I have tattoos and dark hair and I was in an action movie? That's as far as the similarities extend. I'm not the next anyone," Fox said in an interview to Entertainment Weekly.
The 23-year-old actress added that she has no desire to meet the Wanted star, as the meeting would embarrass her. "She always seems otherworldly in her power and her confidence. I'm sure she has no idea who I am. I don't want to meet her. I'd be embarrassed," she said.
When asked if she wanted to follow in Jolie's footsteps of starting out as a sex symbol before taking on serious roles, Fox said, "Angelina Jolie was always a Method actress. She'd been nominated for Golden Globes before she ever did Tomb Raider."
