Two of Hollywood’s hottest young stars will bring some beauty to the big screen. ET reported that Mary-Kate Olsen and High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens are signed on to star in a new CBS Films project – a modern-day adaptation of the classic Beauty and the Beast, with Vanessa playing the main role.
The movie, called Beastly, is set in present-day Manhattan and tells the story of a handsome, wealthy teen played by British actor Alex Pettyfer. When he blows off a date (played by Olsen), he becomes cursed by the beautiful witch, who turns him into everything he hates. As a result, he is forced to find a true love that will help him break the curse. Hudgens will play the beautiful young woman named Linda who falls for the Beast despite his frightening looks.
Filming for the project is set to begin June 13 in Montreal, and news has it that Hudgens will be living in Montreal from June through September, for the entire filming of the movie.
