Just three months after they announced their engagement, actress Christina Ricci and her comedian boyfriend Owen Benjamin called it off, a friend of the couple confirmed to People magazine.
According to the source, the pair called it quits after an argument. "Owen had a birthday party this past Sunday, and everything seemed fine. Sometime after, they got into a fight and decided to reevaluate things. [Then] the engagement was off," the source said.
Another source close to the actress said the pair called off the engagement before last week. "They really are still close. They talk almost every day. It was a very mature decision and they both felt good about it. They're definitely still friends."
Christina, 29, and Benjamin, 28, met in 2008 on the set of upcoming Renaissance Faire romantic comedy "All's Faire In Love," where they play a Ren-Faire newcomer and a member of the theater troupe, respectively. They made their first outing as a couple in October.
