She's rich, she’s beautiful and she's talented. And now Angelina Jolie is the most powerful celebrity in the world, or so says Forbes magazine's annual Celebrity 100 list.
Thanks to the release of several blockbuster movies and the media buzz, the actress – who earned $27 million last year – has dethroned Oprah Winfrey from the top spot, which the talk show host has held for the past two years.
Winfrey earned a whopping $275 million last year, but Jolie, who was No. 3 in 2008, still got more press, following the birth of her twins, as well as the consistent headlines she grabs for her philanthropic efforts and her relationship with actor Brad Pitt, who ranks No. 9 on the list.
Madonna came in third, followed by Beyonce, Tiger Woods, Bruce Springsteen, Steven Spielberg and Jennifer Aniston. Tenth place went to Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, thanks in part to endorsement deals scored after the Beijing Olympics.
President Barack Obama became the first active president to appear in the list, coming in at No. 49. Also in the rankings: Ryan Seacrest (No. 44 with $38 million), Miley Cyrus (No. 29) and Taylor Swift (No. 69).
