Halle Berry to Star in "The Surrogate" Thriller

halle_berry.jpgActress Halle Berry is in negotiations for a starring role in the thriller The Surrogate (not Bruce Willis' The Surrogates) for 20th Century Fox.

According to Variety, director Paul Verhoeven is developing the project which is based on the 2004 novel by Kathryn Mackel. The story revolves around a couple desperate to have a child and who discover that the surrogate they've hired to carry their baby is insane.

Vampire Movie Twilight Wins Five MTV Movie Awards

twilight-poster.jpgThe 2008 vampire romance, starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, dominated the MTV Movie Awards of this year by taking home five golden popcorns, including ‘Best Movie’. Rob Pattinson won three statues for "Breakthrough Performance Male," "Best Kiss" with co-star Stewart and "Best Fight" with Cam Gigandet. Kristen also won for "Best Female Performance," during Sunday's ceremony at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Octomom Gets Reality TV Show

nadya-suleman.jpgNadya Suleman, the Southern California insane woman who gave birth to the world's longest-surviving set of octuplets, has signed a deal to star in a reality television series, her lawyer said Sunday.

After weeks of meetings and negotiations, Suleman, who gave birth to the six boys and two girls in January and also has six other children, agreed to be filmed for a proposed television show by Eyeworks, a British production company, attorney Jeff Czech said. But the company hasn't yet sold the show to any American television network, he added.
