Millions of "T.i.ight" fans would die for a chance to kiss one of the Hollywood's hottest male stars, but would they pay $55,000 for the opportunity to smooch Robert Pattinson?
According to E! Online, Robert's lips were auctioned off Thursday for $27,600 at a charity event. The "T.i.ight" star offered up his lips at a gala for the American Foundation for AIDS Research, a fundraiser held at the Cannes Film Festival every year.
The Hollywood star was introduced by movie king Harvey Weinstein, who suggested the audience to bid for a chance to meet, greet and receive a kiss on the cheek from Pattinson. And Robert then joked, "If it goes well, maybe it will turn to something more!"
Also auctioned off was former President Bill Clinton's autographed Alpine Alto saxophone for $180,000. Tennis pros Monica Seles and Jelena Jankovic sold tennis lessons for $42,000, and a handmade Karl Lagerfeld guitar case filled with Dom Perignon champagne went for $70,000. Director Quentin Tarantino also helped the cause by offering a special screening of Inglourious Basterds for $84,000.
Sharon Stone hosted the 16th annual event, attended by 800 guests, at the Hotel du Cap on the French Riviera.
