Another Hollywood couple has finally made it official.
According to Usmagazine.com, Maggie Gyllenhaal, who played Batman's love interest in The Dark Knight, wed her partner of seven years, actor Peter Sarsgaard, in Italy this weekend. "We are happy to confirm that Maggie and Peter were married on Saturday, May 2," the actress's rep said in a statement to the magazine.
Gyllenhaal, 31, and Sarsgaard, 38, exchanged vows in a romantic ceremony at a small chapel at luxury hotel Masseria in Brindisi near Rome, Italy. They were joined by family and friends, including her brother, actor Jake Gyllenhaal and his Oscar-winning girlfriend, actress Reese Witherspoon.
The couple have been dating since 2002 and announced their engagement in April 2006. They are parents to a two-year-old daughter, Ramona.
