According to Variety, Gossip Girl hottie Leighton Meester has a new boy.
T.i.ight star Cam Gigandet, who played villainous vampire James and continues to enjoy big screen success, has signed on to play Meester's boyfriend in the upcoming psychological thriller The Roommate, from Screen Gems.
The screenplay was written by Sonny Mallhi and centers on a college girl named Sara, played by Meester, who is randomly assigned to a freshman dorm, and stuck with a roommate named Rebecca. Unfortunately, Rebecca just happens to be deranged, and becomes obsessed with Sara, targeting her friends and family. And while Gigandet will star as Meester’s boyfriend, this means he’ll probably be one of the unlucky targets.
The film will be directed by the Danish Christian E. Christiansen, and will start shooting in May.
