Although she recently denied reports that she planned to host a $2 million second wedding celebration, according to Usmagazine.com, Frida star Salma Hayek is saying "I Do" for the second time. She reportedly plans to remarry her businessman husband Francois-Henri Pinault this weekend in Venice, Italy.
The actress and her husband had previously tied the knot in a very private ceremony at the 6th Arrondisement City Hall in Paris on Valentine's Day this year.
Reports of their second wedding emerged when pal Antonio Banderas announced at a press conference in Spain earlier this week that he plans to join wife Melanie Griffith in Venice, Italy for friend Hayek's wedding this weekend.
Salma’s good friend Penélope Cruz, Luis Miguel, Javier Bardem and Ashley Judd are the other people who are expected to attend the wedding ceremony, which is arranged for Salma and Francois-Henri's friends and family who couldn't witness their first wedding in February. "I think a wedding is about love, friends, family and fun,” People quoted the actress as saying.
According to the Spanish edition of People magazine, the celebration will kick off with a rehearsal dinner Friday, followed by a wedding ceremony Saturday at the Palazzo Grassi, a 17th century white marble palace owned by the Pinault family since 2005. The building has particular sentimental value for the couple, as it's where they first met when François held a gala party there in 2006.
The actress-producer, 42, and Pinault, 46, the CEO of luxury-goods company PPR, are parents to daughter Valentina Paloma, born in September 2007.
