There you have it: another show-biz relationship mystery solved!
Dev Patel, 19, and Freida Pinto, 24, who starred as young lovers in the eight-time Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, have always denied reports that they are dating each other, but romance rumors resurfaced yet again last week, when the two were caught cuddling during an intimate lunch in Israel, where Freida, is filming her latest project on location.
And just a few days after that, someone very close to the couple has confirmed it is more than just an on-screen romance.
Dev Patel 's mother, Anita, confirmed to the UK's Daily Mirror that her son is dating his sexy Slumdog co-star. "First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place," Dev's mother said. "Life can't get any better for him. Freida is really beautiful and I am really happy for them."
The couple is rumored to have begun their relationship on the Slumdog set in late 2007, and grew increasingly close while promoting the Oscar-winning film around the world.
News of their romance may not come as a surprise to co-star Anil Kapoor, who reportedly previously described the couple as having "magical chemistry."
However, I wonder what Freida's estranged fiancé thinks about all this?!...
