What do you give an unemployed whack of a mom of 14 kids? The unmarried mother who just gave birth to octuplets has already turned down free child care because she's got bigger dreams in mind - she wants a reality TV show!
While she's waiting for the big payday, Nadya Suleman, has started an exclusive blog and a video diary on RadarOnline - but presumably she's doing that gig for free.
Actually "blog" is a lose term - she doesn't type apparently and can only write out her thoughts on a yellow legal pad and then it's copied and published as a PDF file. Whatever!
Suleman's first post was about her father's surprise visit with talk show diva Oprah Winfrey. She wrote about her fear of Oprah: "I fear her judgement and point of view more than other peoples opinion."
Her father tearfully asked Oprah, "Will you help?" to which she replied that she would arranged for a mental health evaluation if he wanted it.
Meanwhile, folks are stirring over the fate of those 14 kids who live with their welfare mom. (The octoplets are still in the hospital.) Famed attorney Gloria Allred is requesting that Los Angeles County Child and Family Services investigate Suleman's ability to care for 14 children on her own.
And what about a reality show gig? It's entirely possible that Octomom will get what she wants.
"You can't point to a TV show right now that has a better plot than Octomom," said Janice Min, editor in chief of Us Weekly.
"We have someone who is living her own national reality show for the cameras. . . . The story has every element that scripted TV would die for," Min said. "Dysfunctional family. Public feuding with the mother. . . . The plastic surgery. The Angelina Jolie comparisons. . . . Now there's a baby-daddy mystery."
TMZ Managing Editor Harvey Levin could not agree more about the public's fascination with Nadya : "Octomom is crazy. People like crazy. Crazy is more interesting than boring. It's that simple."
