Former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm (a.k.a Melanie C or just Mel C) is showing off the new spice in her life – the first pictures of her 3-week old daughter. She posted them on her MySpace Celebrity profile Tuesday.
The singer announced her pregnancy last August and gave birth to a healthy adorable baby girl named Scarlet Starr last month. She weighed 8lbs., 3 oz. Mel wrote about the birth on her website saying that the baby is “beautiful” and “doing fine,” adding that she hopes “any media interest will be satisfied and future privacy respected."
This is the first child for Melanie, 35, and her boyfriend of six years, property developer Thomas Starr. Thus, former “Sporty Spice” follows in the footsteps of her fellow Spice Girls Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown (a.k.a Melanie B or Mel B), Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton all of whom are mothers.
Chisholm also plans to donate any proceeds from the picture, which appeared on the cover of U.K.'s Hello! Magazine, to charity.
