Despite rumors that Mischa Barton was in talks to appear on the remake of Melrose Place, the actress is headed to another television show, A Beautiful Life, which will be a pilot for the CW, produced by Ashton Kutcher.
The show is a scripted drama which will revolve around a group of models living together in a coed residence in New York City. The former O.C. star will play a supermodel named Sonja, who will be one of the veteran catwalkers desperately trying to stay on top of her game.
"Ashton developed it about his life growing up as a model from Iowa, so it's about the whole fashion world that he was in, and obviously I have a lot of friends in the fashion world, so I'm used to being around a lot of people in that," Mischa told People. "The show will be racy, drugs, drinking, things like that," she added.
As for her role on the new Ashton produced show, Barton said she will play “a bitchy model-type character, like it's a totally different character for me.” She will reportedly begin shooting A Beautiful Life at the end of the month.
