Is Mariah Carey really serious about getting pregnant? The National Enquirer is reporting "exclusively" that she and hubby Nick Cannon have gone in for a little help: they were recently seen coming out of a Beverly Hills fertility clinic.
With their first wedding anniversary approaching on April 30, friends say the couple is hoping to have a child as soon as possible. "Mariah and Nick are trying anything and everything to conceive," says an insider.
Nick is just 28 but Mariah has her biological clock against her.
The source reveals: "After almost a year of trying the natural way, they visited a fertility clinic to help make their baby dream come true. Mariah turns 39 this month, and she really wants to give birth before her 40th birthday."
"If they get pregnant soon, they won't make an announcement, even to close friends, until the three-month mark just to be on the safe side," says the source. "Mariah has cut out fast food and junk food. She's also taking prenatal vitamins and nutritional supplements."
"Mariah doesn't have anything else to prove career-wise. The only thing she believes is lacking from her life is a little one, and Nick is up for the challenge."
