It seems that John Mayer is just not that into Jennifer Aniston anymore. Just weeks after their high-profile appearance together at the Oscars, which fuelled rumours that wedding bells might be ringing for the couple, the actress was reportedly dumped by Mayer when she returned home from Europe where she was promoting her new movie, Marley & Me.
Yet, other rumours suggest that there was a mutual split: "They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other," a source told People. "Jen is moving on with life like she always does. She seems happy," the source added.
This is not the first time Aniston, 40, and Mayer, 31, have split. In August 2008, they called it quits, only to reunite in October. In an attempt to offer an explanation for the first break up, Mayer said, "I ended a relationship to be alone because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right."
While friends of Aniston warn that people shouldn’t assume the two have broken up forever, the star recently shared a somewhat pessimistic view on love in an interview to U.K. magazine You: "Who ever said that every relationship has to last forever? That's hoping too much. I think every relationship is a world unto itself," adding that "I don't have [the perfect partner] and I don't think it exists."
Well, who ever said a break-up has to last forever, either?...
