Is there any hope for Amy Winehouse to stay away from trouble? You tell.
After spending two months on a quiet Caribbean holiday, the 25-year-old singer came back home and found herself being charged with assault after allegedly punching a fan at the posh End Of Summer Ball in London's Berkeley Square last September. Sherene Flash claimed the “Back to Black” singer lashed out and hit her when she asked to take a photograph after the ball.
The dancer said Winehouse initially agreed, but changed her mind as the picture was being taken, and threw a punch, hitting Flash in the arm and cheek.
According to a spokesman for the singer, Amy voluntarily attended a police station in London this week. And a representative of the Scotland Yard declared: "Amy Winehouse, a 25-year-old singer of Hadley Wood, appears on bail at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday March 17 charged with common assault in connection with an incident at Berkeley Square on September 26 2008."
The troubled singer has had numerous run-ins with the law in the past. She has previously been arrested after a series of incidents involving drugs and assault claims, but was never charged.
